do sudo su first<br />
the pip install pyserial<br />

Running PopOS (Ubuntu/Debian)  Did all that was said here and the video. No Joy.  Tried V1.4.5 instead of V1.4.5.1 and my M5Stack Gray flashed.  Could it be an issue with 1.4.5.1?</p>
