According to the documentation, for motor stability, it is suggested to use an external DC power source with the voltage from 9 to 12 V. In the same documentation there is a picture that says "External input 9~12V DC (5V for servos, 9V for motors)". I want to make sure that if I plug a DC adapter with the voltage 9-12 V then the internal circuit of Base X will drop (regulate) the input voltage to 9V in the motor ports and to 5 V in the servo ports? I worry that a high input voltage will damage the Lego motors or the servo motors.</p>
