<p dir="auto">OS: MacOS 13.6.3 (intel)<br />
Application: M5Burner (latest version, on Aug 4)</p>
<p dir="auto">The serial port cann't display in M5Burner application.</p>
<h1>Steps taken</h1>
<ol>
<li>
<p dir="auto">Tried different IDEs, but nothing worked.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p dir="auto">Switched USB cables, yet COM port was still not visible.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p dir="auto">Attempt to turn the USB lead upside down when plugging into the device without success.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p dir="auto">I quickly press the boot button and Serial port was able to display, but soon disappeared. I seize the opportunity to click "erase" button, but it still didn't work and show the following error.</p>

<p dir="auto"><strong>Error message:</strong></p>

<h1>Solution:</h1>
<p dir="auto">After removing the base and battery, I tried the 4th option and successfully erased the firmware!!!</p>
<h1>Question:</h1>
<p dir="auto">What are the possible casues of the issuse?<br />
How to burn the fireware correctly?<br />
What steps should be avoid?</p>
