The issue turns out to be with Debian itself.<br />
The root account is heavily locked down and prevents access to ssh.<br />
To SSH into the CoreMP135 you need to create a new user and use that user account to access the CoreMP135 with SSH.</p>

I usually change the /etc/ssh/sshd_config as follows:</p>
