It doesn’t responds to any button and doesn’t change when plugged to energy source. Only when unplugging it from it the screen makes a quick white flick. Is there any procedure to hard reset it / return to factory settings / force it to come back to life?</p>

<p dir="auto">connect the m5 stack and make sure it appears as a com port. (usbtoslab on osx) and run the file.</p>
<p dir="auto">Sometime the black will hiccup and need a capacitor between rst and gnd.</p>

It is very hard to brick an M5stack, if its still present in the Ports menu then its fine.<br />
just try uploading one of the demos/examples.</p>

It's hard to tell what has happened without more information.<br />
If you uploaded a program without a gui then that could be the issue otherwise you can use M5Burner to reinstall the firmware.</p>
