M5 Burner only bluetooth on Mac

I have an older mac, and when I attempt to connect to my M5Paper via USB, nothing happens. From M5Burner, only inbound bluetooth shows available for comm methods. anyone know how to fix this?

Have you tried installing the CP210x drivers from SiliconLabs?
