      Cheers

I am involved in everything that has to do with automation, including the M5Stack's, a few 3D printers, a CNC mill and a lot of other things. The M5Stack's are all really great, I can't imagine a better prototyping.

@medy hopefully will have a very deep sleep as the display continue to show last piece of data sent to it before it’s switched off.

              Hi guys

an M5CoreInk with ESP32 in light or deep sleep still consumes a couple of mA (which is to be expected given the hardware architecture). However M5CoreInk allows to shutdown ESP32 completely and later wake it up from the RTC timer or alarm.

For an M5CoreInk in shutdown mode I've measured a current (at the battery) of only about 2.5 uA which is pretty good. And yes, the ink display retains the last image.

              Cheers

@felmue Thanks. Did you measure the current in DeepSleep mode? I am getting only about 50-60 hours of life time when getting out of deep sleep for about 12 s (downloading some JSONs from the cloud) and then going back to deep sleep for about 5 mins. It should last much longer with 3.7/390mAh battery in my calculations.

@felmue Oh, I find your Knowlegbase at https://www.gwendesign.ch/kb/m5stack/index.html. Great work! Thank you very much for creating it! It is a shame, they designed it, that it takes 2.5 mA from battery in deep sleep :( It is very sad for ePaper product.

@felmue can you please share how to use the on board RTC to wake up the CoreInk from shutdown?
                        Is this implemented on Micropython/UIFlow?

                          Hello @buzali

no, at the time I used the Arduino environment for my tests. RTC wakeup should be covered by this example.

In UIFlow have a look at the Restart on block. You can find it under Hardwares - Power with M5CoreInk selected as device.

                          Thanks
