Atomic Motion with Atom S3 IMU - MicroPython

Is it possible to use the servos on the atomic motion base while also checking the S3's IMU? Once I get data from the IMU, I can't access the motion base. I get as OSError 116. Can access the IMU or servo's individually, but not in the same loop. Is there a way to make this work? I'd like the servos to be able to react to IMU movement.
