Hello. I am working some time on this epub reader just for fun. But It would be nice to have some feedback and testing. If anyone with M5stack Paper S3 can test my reader app please use M5burner app and give me ideas, bug-reports, etc. here. Thanks a lot.

@L4700 Hi. Thx for testing. Frankly project happened just for me, because I have so many eReader but none was so light. Now I bought next Paper S3 device to my wife is my new tester :D. Future is unsure, for me - there's possibly all I need. And for others - there's slow feedback.
What I am thinking about :

• HW improve - still trying to figure out some fancy Screen illumination fo this HW.
• Wifi portal for transfering books - USB disk mode is very slow, and removing SD card is akward.
• Sync readering with other readers (maybe Calibre, not sure now)
• Optimization (MCU is slow, but I see still some potencial.
• Secondly thinking about future porting to newer models - but it will need some donations to buy new HW. Until this time I have just one donate from my boss :D

EDIT: It was quicker I though. Please test beta https://erbosoft.org/erbopubreader/ . Look to release notes. It is now implemented just from FS perspective (no UI for creating folders etc in reader fw). Bug should be also fixed.

Folders - I will look at it, but I had zero time till now for this miniproject. But if I add it - there will be new beta version on erbosoft.org.
Second think is bug for sure. I had zero testers :( . But I will try to fix it and test all edge cases again.
I am still not satisfied with some slow caching operations (even when they are done once and mcu is slow) so maybe I will try to improve that too (caching of paging for different font sizes, pictures/no pictures etc.)

@adiafora Not sure. Still hunting bugs by reading books, newspapers, etc.
One future function I would like to have for myself is some dailynews ticker via wifi. But still brainstorming with myself if it can be some easy way implemented. Maybe via rss.

@adiafora Interesting I have to say even in Balanced mode I cannot see ghosting at inverted mode. But will try difference with/without charging. 5V charger is strictly required so maybe some quickcharger problem?
BTW there’s new beta version with some fixes. Probably will make it stable next week. I have 0 testers so it goes slowly.

@adiafora Thx, I will look at that ghosting. Is it better for Quality display mode from in-book menu?
