Is the M5Core 2 compatible with the FACES kit?

Can I swap the original M5Core that comes with the FACES kit with a Core2? I could badly use addition onboard memory for a pretty heavy emulator project I'm working on, and the QWERTY keyboard face is perfect for it. Thanks!
