      Dear board veterans and professionals,

After about a week of intensive work, I have made some progress, but I am still encountering a problem where I need your help.

      Initially, my new M5StickC Plus2 didn't work.
I initially used the recommended drivers from 2021/2022.

After extensive research, I was finally able to find an up-to-date driver (2025).
      Manufacturer's website / exact link: wch-ic.com

Nevertheless, the message "Unknown device" remains in the device management.

However, S/N, VID and PID are recognized.

The old driver already caused errors in a test program: among other things, the device name was missing, and other error messages appeared. The test program is a password generator originally designed for the M5StickC Plus.
      was developed.

GitHub link to the application: [GH - Craftz Password Manager].

I may attach relevant files (error messages, screenshots, logs).

I've already been able to solve many problems myself, but I'm stuck on the following point:

Compilation error: expected ';' before 'sha256'

      I tried various approaches, e.g.:

      • init SHA256
      • Init SHA256()
      • SHA256.sha256

      Unfortunately, these attempts were unsuccessful.

I would be very grateful for suggestions or hints on what else I could test.

Warmest greetings and best wishes for the new year 2025
      Chris
