[Solved]Ui Flow - encoder support
-
Hi there !
there is any plans to add support for https://docs.m5stack.com/#/en/module/encoder inside the Ui Flow ? -
From what I understand, the faces units are aimed more towards industrial and so are unsupported in UIFlow.
-
I think it'd be possible to write custom blocks for it
-
If you do it, or start it, post it in the Projects forum.
UIFlow is built on Micropython so I sure that you are correct. -
I figured out how to read the values from the encoder. My encoder is kinda crappy though, always a bad connection
-
So, in flow:
import i2c_bus
i2c_l = i2c_bus.get(i2c_bus.PORTA)
b = str(i2c_l.readfrom(0X5E,3))
moving = b[4:6]
clicking = b[8:10]I'm sure there's a better way to do this (with proper encoding). Clicking returns "1" if there is no clicking and "0" if there is. moving forward is 1,2,3,4,5 depending on speed and ff,fe,fd, etc... if it's going backwards.
Should be simple to do a blocky version of this! -
Yes, you can custom serials of blocks for FACES Kit.
